Dear Chase:

Thank you once again for your ongoing support of the Foundation for Hospices in Sub-Saharan Africa. It means so much that we can count on steadfast friends as we work to help those who are affected and infected by the HIV virus.

Unfortunately, The struggle to bring comfort and support to those individuals and their families is going to be a long one. FHSSA is committed to generateing support and technical assistance for hospice, palliative care and home-based care programs for the terminally ill in sub-Saharan Africa. The majority of the people served by these programs are infected with HIV/ AIDS. FHSSA supports the provision of quality end-of-life care for patients and their families through its support of hospice, palliative care, and home-based care programs.

As we mark the beginning of National Hospice Month here in the United States, we are grateful for everyone who helps us in that endeavor. AD ASTRA means “to the stars.” What a fitting name for your album. Not only for the music, but also for the way you have chosen to reach beyond yourself and help lift others up to the heavens.

We are so very delighted to have your support for the critical work of the Foundation. Best of luck in all of your endeavors and keep reaching for the stars!

Sincerely yours,
J. Donald Schumacher, PsyD
