To boardly go surfing

Star Trek actor William tries to Kling-on

By PAUL THOMPSON

Star Trek actor William Shatner makes a vain attempt to Kling-on - while trying his hand at surfing.

Shatner, who played Captain Kirk in the sci-fi series with the catchphrase “To Boldly Go,” ended up exhausted and bedraggled after being knocked off his board by a monster wave in Hawaii.

Spaced out... actor and wife rescued by instructor

The star, 73, got really spaced out when his wife Elizabeth tried to go to his aid — and had to be rescued herself by an instructor.

Stompy's note:
Despite the overall sacastic tone of this UK Sun article, I think it is wonderful that at 73, Shatner is even attempting to surf. If I can walk at 73 I'll be happy. Here's to Captain Kirk and his enterprising efforts!

Website Changes

Our website has gone through some changes lately. You may or may not have noticed them. chaseclub.com is now hosted on a new site and I've spent the last week updating things, rebuilding pages, and uploading files.

One of the big things that will change is the Listserver. This has been used extensively in the past but usage has dropped off somewhat lately. We'll be making use of the Yahoo group that we've set up for files.
